Big hip new hotel with a beautiful location and simply decorated rooms. Lots of options for breakfast, good toast, fruit, and eggs. Location really close to Nikko, the bus stop and the nearest restaurant. Also, near the river in the forest.

Beds were a bit hard.

As women traveling alone, we felt incredibly safe and welcomed by the kind and helpful staff. The private onsen was a highlight of our stay, allowing us to relax and unwind in a serene setting. The clean and comfortable rooms provided a peaceful night's sleep, and the gas heater was a cozy touch. The hotel's location near the main temples and Kanmangafuchi Abyss made sightseeing easy and enjoyable. Additionally, the option to leave our belongings before and after our stay was convenient and greatly appreciated.

We felt right at home during our stay and had no complaints whatsoever.

All in all our stay was very good, nothing too much trouble. Our room was well-kept and air-conditioned with a magnificent view to the greenery of Nikko. Overall the service was excellent. Free Wi-Fi in public areas was really handy.

It's great relaxing hotel with favourable location away from the bus station. The staff is pleasant, and the owner too. They serve excellent food, have plenty of options to choose from. The place provides fair prices.

The bathrooms are very tiny.

The room was simply decorated & air-conditioned, came with slippers and tatami mats, for example. Location: the hotel was near to the Shinkyo bridge, a beautiful river and the nearest restaurant.

I had a wonderful stay at Turtle Hotori-An. My main purpose was to relax and unwind, and the hotel's location was perfect for that. It was situated in a quiet area by the river, away from the highway noise. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, recommending places to visit in the area. The private onsen bath in my room was a highlight, providing a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The room itself was clean and comfortable, ensuring a pleasant stay. The nearby Tamozawa Imperial Memorial Park was also worth a visit.

Homey hotel, all of the staff were absolutely kind and accommodating, fab location next to a 24 hour convenience store. Food was excellent and I have nothing but relaxing memories from this trip.

We loved the peaceful and scenic location of Annex Turtle Hotori-An. The room we stayed in had a beautiful view of the river and mountains, creating a calming atmosphere. The on-site onsen added to the nature-inspired experience, allowing us to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. The staff, especially Nauko, were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring that our stay was pleasant. The gift shop highlighting local artisans was a great touch, allowing us to bring back some unique ceramic items. Although a little far from the center of Nikko, it was conveniently close to the Shrines and the Kanumangafuchi Abyss, making it easy to visit these attractions. The transportation options provided excellent access to other destinations. we had a delightful stay and would recommend Annex Turtle Hotori-An for anyone seeking a nature haven that offers tranquility and convenience.

Everything was perfect, with very friendly and well organized staff, met the criteria. We can recommend this hotel, spent here wonderful 2 nights.

Nothing not to love!

I keep coming back because I always feel welcome. The staff helped me find the best places to visit. The place suits me perfectly, has everything I need and even free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and hiking nearby. Can't wait to visit again for New Year!
